Assessment and training: two different starting points

How OrangeCheck and ReadON fit together, and why a conversation comes before a programme.

Assessment helps you understand a starting point

OrangeCheck is the digital cognitive assessment product. Its role is to help build a picture of cognitive strengths and areas that may need attention.

A cognitive profile is information to discuss with an appropriate professional. It does not, by itself, diagnose a medical condition or explain every difficulty a person may experience.

Training is a guided activity programme

ReadON uses structured, game-based cognitive activities. The programme involves a starting baseline, guided participation and progress review. Delivery can be explored at home, in a professional practice or within an institution.

The human support around the activities matters. A provider can explain the setup, guide participation and help interpret observations from the programme.

The products do not replace a person-centred discussion

The right starting point depends on the person’s needs, existing support and suitability. Ask the ReadON team to explain whether an assessment, a training discussion or another next step makes sense in your circumstances.

If you are concerned about new symptoms, a medical condition or a change in someone’s abilities, seek appropriate professional advice. Do not use a website or a digital profile as a substitute for that conversation.

General information about ReadON programme participation. Individual suitability and professional advice remain important.
